Chief Executive Officer and Board Member

Julian Proctor is Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and a Board Member of Purus.

Mr. Proctor has over 29 years of experience in the transportation industry. Before joining Purus, Mr. Proctor was Chief Investment Officer at Tiger Group, a large ship owner based in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo, with over 190 vessels. Julian was a board member, observer, executive or co-founder of various subsidiary ship-owners of Tiger Group, including GCI LLC, Greathorse Chemical and Seaspan. Prior to that, he was Chief Strategy Officer of BNP Paribas Fortis Asia Pacific, reporting directly to the CEO and was a member of the regional

board. He holds an M.St. from the University of Cambridge, where he was the recipient of the Oxford University Press Bryman and Bell Prize.

Mr. Proctor speaks Japanese and is the founder of the UK–Japan Leadership Program and a member of the China–Japan Leadership Program, University of St Andrews Business School Board and Chatham House. He is also a member of Bureau Veritas'

Board of Advisors.​
